Attend Forward Township Board of Supervisor Meetings

Forward Township Supervisors holds regular monthly meetings. In addition,Supervisors occasionally may call Special Meetings to discuss specific topics. All meetings are open to the public, allowing residents to bring their concerns forward and voice their opinions regarding Township matters. Public participation in these meetings is encouraged and valued by the Supervisors, as it brings to our attention a variety of issues within the Township and allows us to effectively prioritize/manage how discretionary local tax dollars (and other funding) need to be allocated.  All meetings are posted on the township website and in the municipal building once the munites are approved.

Monthly Township Supervisor Meetings

Monthly Township Supervisor Meetings are held in person on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM at the Forward Township Municipal Building located at 207 Ash Stop Road, Evans City, PA. Meetings typically open with financial reports, public comments and are followed by reports from Public Safety Representitives, Planning Commission Chairman, the Township Manager, Roadmaster, Solicitor, and the Engineer. Old and new business items are discussed. Official motions are made and resolutions/ordinances passed, assuming they have been advertised in the agenda and a quorum of board members is present. Township Superivor Meetings may include an Executive Session where only the Township Supervisor, the Solicitor, and special invitees are allowed to participate in the discussion of more sensitive topics.

Special Meetings

Periodically, it may be necessary for the Superivors to call Special Meetings to discuss a variety of pressing issues or to ensure the timely passage of resolutions. Special Meetings will be publicly advertised via an abbreviated agenda posting a minimum of 24 hours in advance. These meetings, too, may include an Executive Session.
