The Planning Commission was created to assist the Supervisors in planning land use and to review and consider development (residential or nonresidential, and building permit administration) proposed for and in the Township. The commission makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors concerning land use ordinances, maps, subdivision and land development plans, stormwater management plans, comprehensive planning materials while balancing the needs of individual property owners and the Township as a whole.

The Board consists of several volunteer Township residents who are knowledgeable about land planning issues in the Township. If you are planning to create additional lots from your property, the Planning Commission is one of the first boards to review your proposal(s).

All citizens are encouraged to attend and participate in the Planning Commission meetings.

The Planning Commission meets the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. All meetings take place at the Forward Township Municipal Building located at 207 Ash Stop Road, Evans City, PA 16033
